Rewa. Police has arrested four accused while exposing a vicious cyber fraud gang active in Bihar. This gang came into the limelight after cheating a doctor of Rs 12 lakh. On March 23, 2023, the doctor clicked on a link on a social networking site. After this, the accused grabbed a huge amount from his bank.

After the incident, the police was looking for the accused and with the help of cyber tracing, the police traced these accused. The police team reached Bihar and arrested four accused there. These include Prabhakar Kumar (31 years), Ramkaran Mahato (56 years), Surendra Kumar (53 years), and Prahlad Mistry (resident of Nawada district). Cyber fraud was carried out using the accounts of these accused, but the real owners of the accounts of the accused had no information about this.
The police have also recovered Rs 1.5 lakh in cash on the information given by the accused. Superintendent of Police Vivek Singh had formed a special team to catch this gang, which successfully solved this case. The accused are now being questioned and other cases of fraud are being investigated.
They used to commit fraud using fake SIMs, used to open accounts by luring poor people with money
The accused have given important information regarding the fraud network. They used fake SIMs for fraud, which they used to bring from other states. Apart from this, they used to open bank accounts in the name of rickshaw pullers and cart pushers. By luring them with five thousand rupees, they used to operate their accounts themselves and later used to transact the fraud money from their accounts. The accused have given important information during interrogation.
