Madhya Pradesh: The dream of connecting Vindhya and Bundelkhand directly with rail service is slowly getting fulfilled after 25 years. After a long wait, now regular train facility is going to be available between Rewa and Govindgarh on Lalitpur-Singrauli rail route. The Railway Ministry has announced a new train for 20 km electric track from Rewa to Govindgarh. Train number 08211/0821 Rewa-Govindgarh-Rewa Passenger Special will be inaugurated on November 30. This train will start running regularly from December 1. Railways has also released its running schedule. The train will have a total of 14 coaches.

- The train will depart from Rewa at 1 pm
- It will reach Silpara station after 20 minutes, there will be a halt of 5 minutes here
- It will reach Govindgarh at 2 pm
- Regular service of 14 coach train from December 1
Govindgarh and Silpara station codes released: Codes have also been allotted to both the new stations. Govindgarh station’s code will be GGWT and Silpara’s will be SILP. Railway officials have started preparations for the inauguration to be held on November 30. Top officials of Jabalpur zone will be present in the inauguration program. Railway officials said that for now this train will be run with the rack of Bilaspur-Rewa.
Passenger facilities developed at the station
Govindgarh railway station has been constructed under the Lalitpur-Rewa-Singrauli rail line project. Two platforms have been built at this station. A footpath (foot over bridge) has also been built between them for the movement of passengers. Chairs have been installed for the passengers to sit. Apart from this, a small passenger waiting room has also been prepared. There is a ticket counter in the station, where general tickets are available at present. Apart from this, three tracks have been laid, out of which two are designated for trains standing on the platform. There is also enough space for vehicle parking at the station. After the Lalitpur-Singrauli rail line is operational, people will be able to travel from Govindgarh to Sidhi, Singrauli.
Regular train schedule from December 1
Train 08211 Rewa-Govindgarh will leave from Rewa at 7.30 am and reach Silpara station at 7.50 am. After a five-minute halt at Silpara, the train will reach Govindgarh at 8.30 am. After a 30-minute halt at Govindgarh, this train will again become 0821 Govindgarh-Rewa and leave from there at 9 am and reach Rewa at 10 am.
