Raipur: DME office has extended the date for admission in MD-MS course in government and private medical colleges. Now students can take admission till 30th November instead of 28th. Documents will be verified till this date. After extending the date by two days, the entire schedule of admission and scrutiny has changed.
There are a total of 497 PG seats in 6 government and 3 private medical colleges of the state. Out of these, 316 seats are reserved for state quota, 155 for All India and 26 for NRI. Out of these, there are a total of 311 seats in 6 government colleges while 186 seats are reserved in 3 private colleges. Admission will be given on 156 state and 155 all India seats in government colleges, while 160 out of 186 state and management quota seats in private colleges. State counseling is being done for state, management and NRI quota.
After changing the schedule, choice filling in the second round will be done from 11 to 15 December and the allotment list will be released on 17 December. Students will be able to take admission from 19 to 24 December. For the third i.e. mop-up round, choice filling will be done from 6 to 12 January and then the allotment list will come on 16 January. Admission has been scheduled from 17 to 22 January. For the last i.e. stray vacancy round, choice filling will have to be done from 24 to 26 January. The allotment list will come on 28 January.
Admission will have to be taken from 29 January to 1 February. The change in the schedule has been made after the change in the schedule of All India Quota. Students have been asked to compulsorily take the receipt after admission. So that the admission can be confirmed. Admission will not be considered if the receipt is not there. Private colleges have been asked to keep necessary staff in Nehru Medical College so that the admission process can be completed.
